Values - My TOP FIVE values

Family, Ethics, Appreciation, Respect, Helpfulness.

I have taken the personal values assessment once before. My top 5 results then were compassion, courage, accountability, respect, and helpfulness. My results this time around are a little different, but respect and helpfulness are the same. I feel like I have greater appreciation for things that I do have versus what I don’t have.

I see my strengths and values playing out in life every day. I’m not sure if I am just an overthinker but I tend to think of the fairness and concerns of others. I have always lived by the phrase, “treat people the way you would like to be treated.” I use these values on a daily basis. Having a clear conscience and treating others with respect is a very big deal to me and it is all worth it at the end of the day.

I will continue to use my strengths as I do now, and I am learning as I go. I use ethical acts of kindness with people I encounter, and I also use my values to communicate more effectively. I am striving to be psychologically literate.

My top 3 strengths are honesty, leadership, and kindness and an area to which I would like to improve is in creativity. I would like to improve in creativity because I tend to be a good leader and I would like to explore areas in which I can involve my team to express themselves and conjoin our ideas.

I truly believe in the value of ethics. I like to see the good in people even if they might have not always done the right thing. We all have sinned in some way or another and nobody is perfect. I believe in second chances.

    HELPFULNESS

Altruists put other people's needs above their own. They devote a large part of their lives to helping those in need. Thanks to their sensitivity and empathy they are not indifferent to the problems of others.

Helpful people are often highly motivated to act. Their willingness to help causes them to gather many thankful people around them.

    RESPECT

Honor and care shown towards someone.

It is a recognition of someone's achievements or attitude. We respect those people who have had a strong and positive impact on our lives. We often adopt them as role models and are eager to learn from them.

    APPRECIATION

    Recognition of value or worth.

Appreciation is a significant respect for another person. Being appreciated always requires effort. Appreciation is given to people who have brought a lot of good in other people's lives or achieved something special with their own efforts.

    ETHICS

People who value ethics often stand guard over morality. They actively oppose unethical actions and are able to assess the situation well through a broader perspective. They are excellent at making objective judgements.

People who value ethics can be relied on because they follow clearly defined rules in their lives. They are also consistent in their beliefs and will defend them for the general good.

    FAMILY

    Caring for loved ones

Family is a value that meets many of our needs simultaneously. We find love, security, self-esteem and development in it. Taking care of the family we have a great opportunity to positively influence the lives of our loved ones. In return we are generously endowed with love.
